Designer Watches: Bringing Practicality To The Forefront

Timex Mens Watches have long been popular throughout the world. They are made by one of the most legendary of all American success stories, a company that brought to market one of the world's first digital watches ever. All Timex mens watches bear the company's own patented Indiglo brand of electroluminescent backlighting that has been providing helpful little lamps for its designs and, under license, those of others as well for over two decades. While the sit on the fringe of designer watches and practicality, with such experience and workmanship, a Timex is a worker and a keeper. In fact, the company itself has been in the business since 1854, and introduced the first Mickey Mouse clock ever in 1933.

Timex mens watches come in a wide assortment of styles, but their utility is even more remarkable, with various models featuring on-board instruments like compasses and running on always-reliable solar power. One of the most popular of these timepieces is the Ironman Shock series of action-oriented wristwatches offering sporty digital features like a fifty-lap memory, two-mode countdown timer, and water resistance good to six hundred and sixty feet deep. Its orange and white lettering and numbers can be easily read, especially when illuminated by the ever-handy Indiglo night light that accompanies every Timex. Its stainless steel bezel only adds to the serious professional look of the watch, giving off a designer watches feel, while helping to mark and set information. The quartz or atomic movement is housed in a durable stainless steel case reinforced with resin for quality and reliability for protection against scrapes and scratches - after all, it isn't an Ironman Shock for nothing, and neither is it a Timex for no reason, either. Powered by the sun and shock-resistant for sports and other applications in the field, this line of rugged wristwatches truly live up to the company's old advertising slogan of "it takes a licking and keeps on ticking."

The shock resistance feature adds about another 15cm to the timepiece's height, but it wears just like a normal wristwatch, sitting not too much higher and featuring buttons that extend out from the body only just enough and no more. But this is a very macho-looking piece, equally at home, as the company also likes to say, in the boardroom, again disguised like designer watches, or the locker room. And it isn't expensive at all considering the quality of the make. It continues to be very well-received, with new models still debuting; they should make a welcome companion for any occasion.
